Following my tenure at Moguls I took two years off and earned my MBA. It was a wonderfully rewarding experience that provided me with countless frameworks and tools for business decision making. Far more importantly, however, it served to confirm some basic tenets that I've always known; that work without passion is at best unsatisfying, and that relationships are at the heart of business. Best tip for the perfect ski vacation: Pause frequently to look around and appreciate whatever conditions you are fortunate enough to be skiing that day.

Favorite ski resort: Unfair question, but I do owe a tip of the hat to Snow Creek, MO, as that is where the flame of my skiing passion first began to burn.

Favorite Après Ski bar: The one serving cold beer.

Favorite Lodging property: Hotel Portillo. How many yellow hotels are there?

Favorite Resort Restaurant: Does a fired-up grill in the parking lot at A-Basin count?

Best ski day in memory: Best day this season was at Aspen Highlands. After 12+ inches overnight we hiked Highlands Bowl and arrived at the top just as ski patrol dropped the rope to the seemingly bottomless, wind-loaded north face.
